The hackers gained access to the company's ticketing system and stole data about customer inquiries, including names, contact details, and other personal information. Although the company states that no medical records were affected, the stolen data could contain sensitive information about customer accounts, personal data, and health data. It is not yet known how many individuals were affected by the hack, as companies in California are required to report data breaches affecting 500 or more state residents. Hims & Hers confirmed that it was a social engineering attack, where hackers tricked employees into granting them access to their systems. The stolen data package primarily included customer names and email addresses. The company has not disclosed what specific data was exfiltrated or whether the hackers made a ransom demand.
